How to find BMAC

The BMAC model airfield is located at 3 Nirta Place, Mitchell ACT adjacent the Crace Grasslands Nature Reserve .

Directions to the field:

1. Sandford Street, which is at the southern end of the Mitchell industrial Precinct can be accessed from either Gungahlin Drive, or Flemington Road.

2. From Sandford Street, turn south onto Hoskins Street.

3. Proceed straight ahead for 300 metres, after which the road will turn to the right and change to Nirta Place.

4. Head around the bend and then immediately turn left onto the lane – there is a BMAC sign on the fence at the start of the track. (GPS: -35.222870° South, 149.135499° East).

5. The lane heads past the Community Gardens, on your left, and at the end of the lane you will see a gate to the right, with signage to the club. The road leads to the carpark and clubhouse (GPS: -35.225630° South, 149.132205° East). Please observe the speed limit 20kph, reducing to 5kph in the carpark area.

6. An unlocked gate indicates that at least one member is at the field.

Note: Dogs are not permitted at the field, so please leave your pets at home.
